Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, who announced his return to the ruling PDP on Thursday, has by so doing created room for killing the Labour Party (LP), the third largest party in Nigeria. He moved to the ruling party with two LP senators and 25 LP state legislators.
Until Dr Mimiko’s jump, LP had only one governor out of 36 in the country.
