The celebration of Afrobeat king Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s life and times continued in Lagos, Nigeria, until Sunday, Oct. 19. This year’s “Felabration” started on Oct. 12 with “Finding Fela”, a drama, at the “African Shrine” in Ikeja. On Monday, an exhibition showcasing sculptures and portraits of the “Abami Eda” followed; it was organised by Leo Entertainment in collaboration with the National Museum at Onikan, Lagos.
Fela’s children-musicians Femi and Seun, together with their siblings, other relations, musicians, friends and fans have been painting Lagos red with songs, dances and other events.
