Abuja Residents Alerted to Presence of Fleeing Boko Haram Terrorists

Residents of Nigeria’s capital Abuja have been alerted to the presence of “so many” Boko Haram terrorists in their midst, after the insurgents were displaced from Sambisa Forest, the violent sect’s headquarters, recently. The security outfit of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) gave the warning following the confession of one suspect, “Usman”, who was arrested about 4:30pm on Tuesday.

“Usman” was arrested at Utako market while he was “trying to lobby” other people.

A statement issued by the spokesman of the AMAC security outfit, Mr Kingsley Madaki, said the suspected Boko Haram member “confessed that there are so many of his colleagues out there in the city who are out to unleash mayhem on the innocent residents.” It asked Abuja residents to be more vigilant and reported suspects to the authorities.
