Distinguished Igbo sons rallied round to fulfil the three stern conditions given by a court Tuesday before detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu could be granted bail.
On Friday evening, Kanu walked out of Kuje prison in Abuja, accompanied by Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe.
The IPOB leader was granted bail on health grounds. His passports were seized.
His freedom is sure to energise the struggle for Biafra. Already, his followers are looking forward to May 30, the 50th anniversary of Biafra’s declaration by General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
