Buhari Back to London for Treatment

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria will Sunday night be flown back to London for treatment of a yet-to-be-disclosed illness.

He has transmitted letters to the leaders of the legislature in accordance with the constitution, says a release signed by Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity. The length of his stay in London will be determined by his doctors, Adesina states.

Nigeria now, therefore, has an acting president: Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. He had acted for 50 days during which the president was away in London earlier this year.

On Sunday, Buhari reportedly received 82 Chibok “girls” freed by Boko Haram.
